Eve Maulsby  is a mother, artist, 2x cancer survivor, and third generation Native Houstonian who currently lives and works in Pearland, Texas. As soon as she was able to sit upright unassisted, Eve’s mother taped paper to her high chair table for her to draw and paint on. As she grew up, she spent countless hours watching her multi-talented grandfather, western artist Mark Storm, hand letter, design logos, draw, sculpt, and paint. As a teen, she painted murals in her bedroom which soon led to her first professional mural job at age 17.

Her formal art education includes HSPVA, Art Institute of Houston, and University of Houston at Clear Lake. Her informal on-the-job education spans many decades, including (but not limited to) caricatures, calligraphy, sign painting, silk screening, gold leafing, ink and watercolor elevation renderings, t-shirt design, spot illustrations for educational games, illustrative covers for local magazines, portraits, logo design, ad design, jewelry, antique carousel restoration, and airbrush. In the early 90’s she owned a small Art & Gift shop in the Rice Village called “The Apple Corps”. The store showcased handmade art and gifts by local artists including her own jewelry and works by Houston artists such as Charles Washington, among others.

For fun, she enjoys creating art cars and has designed, painted, constructed, and/or consulted on several art cars and parade floats since over the years. She recently won first place in both 2D and 3D categories in the Pearland Arts League 2019 Annual Juried Exhibition and Honorable Mention in the 34th Annual  National Society of Artists Juried Exhibition.
